Mississippi Christian shuts out Trevecca Nazarene 3-0

Mississippi Christian defeated Trevecca Nazarene 3-0 on Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee, scoring twice before halftime and adding another goal in the second half. The Choctaws improved to 4-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play, while Trevecca Nazarene fell to 3-3-1 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play.

Abby Badurak opened the scoring at 9:13 on an assist from Paula Catalan, giving Mississippi Christian a lead it held through the remainder of the first half. Badurak was credited with the game-winning goal on her lone shot on goal.

Parker St. Amant doubled the advantage at 38:49, finishing a Keiran Goodman assist as the Choctaws took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Trevecca Nazarene had several first-half chances, including three corner kicks and two shots on goal, but Mississippi Christian maintained the shutout.

Kerri O'Hara scored the only goal after halftime in the 69th minute off an Olivia Graham assist. O'Hara led Mississippi Christian with three shots, placing two on goal, while St. Amant scored on her only shot.

Mississippi Christian finished with a 10-7 edge in shots and put seven attempts on goal, compared with one shot on goal for Trevecca Nazarene. Paityn Settlemires played all 90 minutes in goal, made one save and recorded the shutout.
