Reeves congratulates primary winners, pledges RGA support

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves congratulated Ty Masterson and John James on their Republican primary victories in a Facebook post, saying he looks forward to welcoming them to the Republican Governors Association team if they win in November.

Reeves wrote, “Congratulations to Ty Masterson and John James on your Republican primary victories tonight! Looking forward to welcoming y’all to the Republican Governors Association (RGA) team after winning in November.” The post included a U.S. flag emoji.

The Republican Governors Association is a national political organization that raises funds and supports Republican gubernatorial campaigns and allied candidates. Endorsements or public encouragement from sitting governors can signal party unity and help raise visibility and resources for general election efforts.

The post does not specify the offices involved, but it follows primary contests that determine which candidates will appear on the ballot in November. The message underscores the RGA’s role in coordinating campaign support and the importance of primary outcomes for party strategy heading into the general election.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
