Vicksburg police attend Enchanted Hills town hall

VICKSBURG, Mississippi — Chief Larry Burns and Deputy Chiefs Tommy Curtis and Charlie Hill attended a recent Enchanted Hills town hall hosted by Alderwoman Vickie Bailey to engage directly with residents, the Vicksburg Police Department said.

The meeting gave department leaders an opportunity to listen to community concerns, answer questions and strengthen partnerships with neighborhood residents, the department said in a Facebook post.

Town halls are a common forum for local officials and law enforcement to build trust and foster collaboration, particularly in communities working to address public safety and quality-of-life issues. Vicksburg is the county seat of Warren County and the department has cited community engagement as a priority.

The Vicksburg Police Department thanked Alderwoman Bailey for the invitation and thanked residents who attended and shared their thoughts. The department said it looks forward to continuing conversations and serving the citizens of Vicksburg.
