A very dangerous tornado is moving across eastern portions of Lincoln County, a Facebook post said, urging persons in the path to take immediate action to save their lives.
The post did not include additional details about the tornado’s exact location, speed or any injuries. It was shared on social media and serves as an urgent warning to residents and travelers in the area.
When tornadoes threaten, the National Weather Service and emergency managers advise people to seek shelter immediately in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows. Mobile homes and vehicles are not safe; if caught outdoors, cover your head and seek a low-lying area if no shelter is available.
