Samaritan’s Purse offers tornado cleanup assistance in Lincoln County

BOGUE CHITTO, Miss. — Samaritan’s Purse is offering free cleanup assistance to homeowners in Lincoln County affected by recent tornadoes, the organization said Monday. The group is operating locally out of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2305 Pleasant Hill Drive SE in Bogue Chitto.

Samaritan’s Purse said volunteers may be able to help with chainsaw work, temporary roof tarping, personal property and furniture removal, debris cleanup, flood cleanup and sanitizing through Shockwave treatment.

Priority will be given to homeowners who are uninsured or underinsured, and requests will be handled based on need and volunteer availability, the organization said. Residents seeking assistance may call 833-747-1234 to speak with a Samaritan’s Purse representative.
