Trooper Beasley joins Commercial Transportation Enforcement after graduation

Trooper Ana-Rials Beasley graduated with Cadet Class 70 and will serve with the Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said in a Facebook post.

The department said Beasley was proudly pinned by her stepfather, Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Bearden, as she follows in his footsteps and begins her own career in state law enforcement.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety oversees several agencies, including the Mississippi Highway Patrol and units that enforce safety standards for commercial vehicles and drivers. The Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division focuses on inspections, compliance and roadway safety related to trucks and other commercial carriers.

Graduation from a cadet class typically follows a period of classroom instruction and field training designed to prepare new troopers for patrol duties and specialized assignments. The department highlighted Beasley’s graduation as part of a continuing effort to maintain public safety on Mississippi roadways and to build its ranks.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
