Stateline Road closed after power lines come down

Stateline Road is closed between Highway 301 and Grandview Cove after power lines came down, according to a Facebook traffic alert.

The social media post urged motorists to use an alternate route while crews address the situation. No additional location details or estimated reopening time were provided in the post.

Downed power lines present a serious electrocution hazard and can cause outages for nearby homes and businesses. Drivers and pedestrians should avoid the area, not touch any wires and steer clear of vehicles or objects in contact with the lines.

Utility crews and emergency responders typically secure the scene before repairs begin, but closures can cause delays and force detours for local traffic. Motorists should allow extra travel time and follow instructions from public-safety personnel if they encounter the site.

This report is based on a social media alert and additional official information was not immediately available. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
