Starkville police seek missing 13-year-old

STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Starkville Police Department is asking the public for help locating 13-year-old Ranyjah Jones, who was last seen at her Chandler Park Apartments residence at about 4 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, the department said. Police and Jones’ family are concerned for her welfare.

Jones is described by police as 5-foot-4 and 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing pajamas and a pink bonnet. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Starkville Police Department at 662-323-4131, the department said.

The Starkville Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Starkville, Mississippi, which is home to Mississippi State University and a residential community in east-central Mississippi. Missing-child and welfare-concern reports typically prompt rapid public and police attention because timely tips can be critical to locating a young person.
