Jackson police seek 80-year-old man missing since Aug. 1

The Jackson Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating 80-year-old John H. Williams, who was last seen Aug. 1, 2024, at his home on Brinkley Drive, the department said.

The department described Williams as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. His height and weight were listed as unknown, and information about the clothing he wore when last seen was not available, police said.

Police said Williams has since relocated from the Brinkley Drive residence and has not been seen or heard from by his daughter. The Jackson Police Department, which is the municipal police force for Jackson, Mississippi, investigates missing-person cases and often asks the community to report tips that can help locate individuals.

Authorities urged anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts to contact the Jackson Police Department at 601-720-7588 or 601-960-1800. Elderly missing persons can face increased risks if they need medication or assistance, making timely information important. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
