Starkville police give department tour to summer camp class
Sgt. Gillen and Cpl. Bibbs of the Starkville Police Department recently led a tour of the department for a summer camp class from First United Methodist, the department said in a Facebook post.
The Starkville Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Starkville, Mississippi, responsible for public safety, crime prevention and community engagement. Local police departments often host tours and demonstrations to familiarize residents with their operations and build lines of communication.
The visit is part of broader community outreach efforts that many departments use to foster trust and educate young people about public safety and the role of law enforcement.
