Southaven police attend annual fishing rodeo
The Southaven Police Department said in a Facebook post that it was “great seeing everyone this morning at the annual City of Southaven Fishing Rodeo.”
The department said some officers attended with their families and that their VIPS were “always so helpful” at events like these. The post thanked everyone who came out and congratulated those who won prizes.
Southaven, Mississippi, holds the fishing rodeo as a recurring community event that brings families together and offers a chance for residents to interact with local officials in an informal setting. VIPS — volunteer supporters who assist the department at public events — often help with logistics, safety and crowd support at gatherings such as this.
The Southaven Police Department did not provide additional details in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
