Sheriff warns drivers of new stop signs near Mooreville Schools
Sheriff Jim H. Johnson said in a Facebook post that new stop signs and a revised roadway configuration are being installed at the intersection of County Road 1409 and County Road 1310, south of Mooreville Schools.
The sheriff urged motorists to drive carefully in the area while road work is ongoing and while drivers become familiar with the new intersection design.
Changes to intersections and stop signage are commonly used by local transportation and safety officials to manage traffic flow and reduce collision risks, particularly near school zones where pedestrian activity increases during arrival and dismissal times.
Motorists should obey temporary traffic controls, watch for workers and equipment, and expect minor delays as the new signs and roadway adjustments are completed. Drivers unfamiliar with the area may want to allow extra time for travel near the school.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
