Sheriff thanks church for staff barbecue
Sheriff Jim H. Johnson said on Facebook that he wants to extend “a heartfelt thank you to the Skyline Church of Christ for the wonderful lunch you provided for our staff.”
The post said the barbecue, “all the fixings, homemade desserts, and drinks were truly appreciated,” and that the church’s “generosity and support mean a great deal to our team.”
Sheriff’s offices typically provide law enforcement, corrections and public safety services for the communities they serve, and officials often rely on partnerships with local organizations for morale-building and outreach. Community groups and faith organizations frequently support first responders with meals and other gestures of appreciation.
Such donations can boost staff morale and reinforce ties between law enforcement and residents, officials say. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
