Registration opens for Blue Steel Challenge 2026 in North Mississippi

Registration is open for the 22nd annual Crime Stoppers Blue Steel Challenge, scheduled Oct. 10, 2026, at the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi said in a Facebook post.

Competition registration is limited to law enforcement officers, though reserve, auxiliary and retired officers may participate with proper agency credentials, the post said. Events this year will include handgun, shotgun, patrol rifle and obstacle course competitions, with trophies, prizes and giveaways.

Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi is part of a broader network of community-based programs that encourage members of the public to provide anonymous tips that help law enforcement solve crimes. Events such as the Blue Steel Challenge often serve as opportunities for officers to sharpen tactical skills, build teamwork and foster interagency relationships, organizers said.

The Facebook post included a flyer with registration information, event details and pricing. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
