Police renew appeal in 2017 shooting death of Antonyo Lee

The McLain Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations are again asking for the public’s help in the 2017 death of Antonyo Lee, also known as “TB Dakiing,” authorities said.

Lee’s body was found on Highway 57 on Nov. 5, 2017. He had been shot and his jewelry was taken, the agencies said, and investigators want anyone with information about the missing items to come forward because that detail could be an important piece of the investigation.

Officials said the original social media post about the case drew broad attention and was widely shared. “Someone knows something,” the agencies said, adding that even a single new tip could help move the case forward.

Tips can be submitted anonymously through the P3 Tips app or by calling Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898. Authorities said tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500 if their information leads to a felony arrest.

The agencies asked that the appeal be shared, particularly with people in McLain, Pascagoula, Leakesville, Lucedale, Hattiesburg and Moss Point. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
