The Pike County Sheriff’s Office said Mecheal Ramsey has made contact with his family and is safe, the agency announced. The office credited public assistance, prayers and information sharing for helping bring attention to the case, the Public Relations Department said.
The sheriff’s office expressed appreciation to the community for its support and asked that the family’s privacy be respected at their request. Officials thanked everyone who assisted in the search and helped bring the matter to a safe resolution, the department said.
