Missing man Justin Shane Bannister found safe, alert canceled

A Facebook post on the page that issued a missing-person alert says Justin Shane Bannister, 41, has been found safe and that the missing-person/welfare concern has been canceled. Bannister had been reported missing since June 19 from the Mooreville area.

The original alert described Bannister as last seen driving an older white Toyota sedan with an antique tag (numerals unknown) and noted heavy damage to the driver’s side from a previous event. The post advised anyone with information to call 911 or the dispatch number at 662-432-2622.

Local authorities and community groups frequently use social media to share timely information about missing people and to solicit tips from the public. Missing-person alerts can prompt searches, welfare checks and rapid community response, and a report that someone has been found safe typically eases immediate concerns among family and neighbors.

The Facebook post did not provide additional details about when or where Bannister was located or his condition. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
