George County sheriff seeks help locating runaway 15-year-old
The George County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help locate Kaelynn Underwood, a 15-year-old runaway last seen about 3 a.m. July 3 in the Agricola community, the office said.
Underwood is described as about 4 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 100 pounds, with black hair, the sheriff’s office said in a public bulletin posted July 3.
The sheriff’s office issued a BOLO — a “be on the lookout” alert — to notify residents and local agencies. BOLOs are commonly used by law enforcement to quickly share information about missing persons or suspects and to solicit tips from the public.
The George County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for George County and investigates missing-person reports and runaways. Runaway juveniles can face safety risks, and authorities often ask the community to report sightings that could aid a safe recovery.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the George County Sheriff’s Office, the release said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
