The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help locate two registered sex offenders who have failed to comply with Mississippi registration requirements, the agency said.
Authorities identified the men as Christopher P. Thomas, who is out on bail on a previous failure-to-register charge, and Joseph Scott Cook, who also has not reported as required. Information indicates Thomas may be in the Columbus, Mississippi, area, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department said.
Officials urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of either man to contact the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at (601) 783-6767, Crime Stoppers at 1-888-755-8810, submit a tip at P3Tips.com or notify local law enforcement. The office warned that appearances may have changed since photographs were taken and asked the public not to attempt to approach or apprehend the subjects.
