Oxford Police recognize Sgt. Peter Heim, Cpl. Kenny King as command college graduates

The Oxford Police Department congratulated Sgt. Peter Heim and Cpl. Kenny King on graduating from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College at the University of Mississippi, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said the pair completed the program as part of their ongoing professional development. The Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College is a program at the University of Mississippi that provides leadership and command-level training for law enforcement officers, preparing them for supervisory and managerial responsibilities.

Oxford officials said Heim and King’s training strengthens the department and enhances the service it provides to the community. Professional development programs like the command college are designed to improve decision-making, crisis management and organizational leadership among law enforcement personnel.
