Cpl. Colby Huffman returned home after recovering in Atlanta since March, a Facebook post announcing his return said.
The post said Huffman still faces additional recovery but that family and community members are thankful to have him back. It thanked the Starkville Fire Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop G for their assistance in bringing him home.
Huffman’s return highlights local and regional first responders’ role in assisting individuals and families during medical recoveries and transfers. Starkville is a city in Mississippi; the Mississippi Highway Patrol often coordinates with municipal agencies when motorists or patients need assistance across jurisdictions.
