Mississippi Museum of Natural Science wins Best Museum in Mississippi poll
JACKSON — The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science has been named Best Museum in Mississippi in Mississippi Magazine’s Best of Mississippi 2026 Reader Poll, officials announced this week.
The annual poll recognizes businesses, attractions and destinations across the state, with winners selected by readers of Mississippi Magazine, the magazine said.
Located inside LeFleur’s Bluff State Park in Jackson, the museum features interactive exhibits, aquariums, native wildlife displays, educational programming and nature trails focused on Mississippi’s natural heritage, officials said. The museum offers educational and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages throughout the year.
“We are honored to receive this recognition,” Museum Director Angel Rohnke said in a statement. “This award reflects the dedication of our staff and the support of the visitors and communities we serve.”
The museum is at 2148 Riverside Drive in Jackson. Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for youth ages 3 to 18 and $8 for seniors ages 60 and older. More information is available through the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science website.
