Mississippi Emergency Management Agency updates Facebook cover photo

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency updated the cover photo on its official Facebook page, the agency’s social media post shows.

The post did not include additional details about the image. Agencies often change cover photos to highlight public information campaigns, preparedness messaging or awareness of ongoing events, and the agency’s Facebook presence is a primary channel for communicating with residents across the state.

MEMA, the state agency responsible for coordinating disaster planning, response and recovery in Mississippi, works with local officials and federal partners to issue alerts and provide resources during storms, floods and other emergencies. Its social media accounts are commonly used to share safety information, evacuation guidance and links to official resources.

Residents who follow the agency on Facebook can use the page to access updates and preparedness materials. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
