Mississippi Driver Service Bureau honors employees, stations at annual assembly
Earlier this week, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Driver Service Bureau held its annual General Assembly and training and honored employees and stations from across the state, the department said in a Facebook post.
The bureau thanked speakers from the Texas Department of Public Safety, including Captain Timothy Simmons and Mimzie Dennis, who attended and spoke to attendees, the post said.
Individual awards announced included Cassandra Marsh as Assistant Manager of the Year; Teshia Johnson as CDL Employee of the Year; Ruth Evans as the 2025 Customer Service Award winner; Quanza Harper as Employee of the Year; Amy Fortenberry as Manager of the Year; Tommie Taylor as Longest Serving Employee; Candis Hillman for most TalentLMS courses completed; Robert Knapp as Operations Employee of the Year; Susan Patton for shortest wait time of the year; and Terri Shephard for the highest percentage of organ donor registrations.
Station awards recognized Canton Station for fastest transaction times; Corinth Station for fastest transaction and fastest wait times; Columbia Station for fastest wait times; Greenville Station for most decreased wait times; Kiln Station for highest percentage of organ donor registrations; and Jackson Station for most transactions per year.
The Driver Service Bureau oversees driver licensing and related customer services across Mississippi. The department said the awards highlight dedication, teamwork and professionalism in serving the public. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
