Lee County investigators complete Criminal Investigator Certification
Investigator Dillard and Investigator Patterson of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office completed the Criminal Investigator Certification course, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
The post said the program is a rigorous, 280-hour course that provides advanced training in law enforcement investigative techniques, procedures and best practices.
The completion of the certification reflects the investigators’ commitment to professional development and to serving Lee County residents with high standards of professionalism, the sheriff’s office said.
The Criminal Investigator Certification is a credential used by many agencies to standardize investigative training and to ensure personnel receive instruction in evidence handling, case preparation and investigative procedures. Additional training can bolster an agency’s investigative capacity and help maintain public confidence in criminal investigations.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for its county and is responsible for patrol, investigations and public safety. Agencies often encourage advanced certifications to keep up with evolving investigative methods and best practices.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
