Mississippi Department of Public Safety names May employees of month

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety named four employees its employees of the month for May, the agency said in a Facebook post.

The honorees are Tommie Sue Taylor of the Driver Service Bureau, Jeroderick Draper of the Capitol Police, Marc Watson of Maintenance and Markell Young of Finance, the post said.

The department, which oversees driver services, public safety programs and the Capitol Police among other responsibilities, said the recognition highlights staff who provide essential services that keep daily operations running and support public safety across the state.

Commissioner Sean Tindell praised the employees in the Facebook post, saying, “As Commissioner, I9m proud to recognize these outstanding individuals who go above and beyond every day. Their work makes a real difference in our agency. Thank you!”
