Mississippi auditor seeks fall interns for government accountability division
The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor said it is seeking fall interns to join its government accountability division, according to a post on the agency’s Facebook page.
Selected interns will work with a team of analysts and will write reports on government programs and services, the post said. The agency said interested applicants can begin the application process by scanning a QR code included in the post.
The Office of the State Auditor conducts audits and reviews of state and local government operations to help ensure public funds are used properly and programs deliver intended results. Internships at auditing offices typically provide students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in public finance, program evaluation and report writing.
This announcement offers an opportunity for those interested in public accountability and government oversight to gain practical experience. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
