Silver Alert issued for missing Lowndes County man

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Mississippi — Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a 62-year-old Lowndes County man last seen in Lauderdale County, officials said.

Robert Glen Banks, of Caledonia, was last seen around 11:34 p.m. Wednesday on Causeyville Road traveling north, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department. He is believed to be driving a 2006 Lexus ES350 with Mississippi tag DB4712E.

Family members told authorities Banks suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 146 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Banks or the vehicle is asked to call the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department at 1-800-530-7151 or call 911. Silver Alerts are public notification systems used to help find missing older adults or people with cognitive impairments by quickly sharing information with the public.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
