MBI leaders attend ASCIA conference to boost public safety partnerships
Last week, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said Lt. Col. Herzog, MBN Lt. Col. Pope and Maj. Morton attended the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies conference to connect with law enforcement leaders from across the nation.
The agency said the delegation took part in sessions aimed at sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships and enhancing collaboration in the pursuit of public safety.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the state agency that provides investigative support and technical assistance to local and state law enforcement, regularly participates in national conferences to stay current on investigative techniques, emerging threats and interagency cooperation.
ASCIA is a professional organization that brings together state criminal investigative agencies to exchange best practices, training opportunities and intelligence relevant to complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations. Attendance at such conferences can improve coordination on cases that cross state lines and promote consistency in investigative standards.
Officials did not provide additional details about sessions attended or outcomes of the meetings. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
