Long Beach Main Street hosts Chill with a Cop
Long Beach Main Street will host “Chill with a Cop” at Serendipity Creamery on May 13 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the organization said on its Facebook page. The event will bring members of the public together with local law enforcement for informal conversation over ice cream.
Organizers said the gathering provides a chance for residents to thank officers, ask questions and build relationships in a relaxed setting. Serendipity Creamery is listed as one of Long Beach Main Street’s member businesses.
Long Beach Main Street thanked WoodmenLife Insurance for sponsoring the event and said it was grateful for the work of officers who serve the city. Community events such as this are often used by civic groups to foster trust and open lines of communication between residents and police.
