Lee County deputy graduates North Mississippi law enforcement training center

Lee County Sheriff Jim H. Johnson congratulated Deputy Jacob Bradford on graduating from the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center, Johnson said in a Facebook post. Bradford will join the Lee County sheriff’s office patrol division after completing the training program.

Bradford joins the office from Temple, Texas. He is a graduate of Temple High School and earned an associate degree in biology with honors from Temple College, according to the sheriff’s post.

The sheriff’s post said Bradford received the Academic Award and finished third overall in the Top Cop competition at the training center. Those recognitions typically reflect high performance in classroom work and practical skills testing during basic law enforcement courses.

The North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center provides basic training for new officers in the region, covering topics such as patrol procedures, defensive tactics and legal instruction. New deputies who graduate from such programs commonly begin assignments in patrol, where they handle routine response and public safety duties.

Details in the sheriff’s post were limited. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
