Cadets graduate from North Mississippi law enforcement training center
Cadets from across Mississippi will graduate this week from the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center and earn certification as law enforcement officers, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
The post said cadets, instructors and guests participated in NMLETC’s annual Sheriff’s Challenge Run the previous day, an event led by Sheriff Jim H. Johnson.
The North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center provides basic academy training and certification for officers from local agencies in the region. Certification allows graduates to assume sworn duties in their communities and is often a required step for municipal and county law enforcement positions.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office offered congratulations and wrote, “We pray for your safety, wisdom, and success as you return to your communities to serve with honor and make a positive difference every day.” We will provide more information as it becomes available.
