Jackson police seek tips in murder of Gary Bolden

The Jackson Police Department is asking the public for additional information in the murder of Gary Bolden, whose body was found in a burned car on Eddy Street on Dec. 22, 2025, the department said in a Facebook post.

Officials did not release further details about the circumstances of Bolden’s death in the post. The department asked anyone with information to contact JPD at 601-960-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest, the post said, and noted that it seeks only information related to the case, not personal identifying information from tipsters.

The Jackson Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Jackson, Mississippi, the state capital. Homicide investigations like this one are central to public safety and can rely on community cooperation to identify suspects and secure arrests.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
