Jackson police seek missing juvenile

The Jackson Police Department is attempting to locate a missing juvenile, the department said in a social media post. Authorities asked the public to review the information in the post and contact the department with any tips.

The Jackson Police Department is the municipal agency responsible for law enforcement and public safety in the city. Police departments typically treat missing juvenile cases as a high priority because of the potential risks to a young person’s safety, and they often use community outreach and media notices to gather information quickly.

Officials did not provide further details in the post. When information is limited, police commonly seek assistance from family, neighbors and businesses, review surveillance footage, and coordinate with neighboring agencies when appropriate.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department through its usual nonemergency or tip lines or to respond to the department’s social media post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
