The Jackson Police Department is investigating a death in the 500 block of Road of Remembrance, the department said in a Facebook post. Officers located the body of an unidentified Black female at the scene, and the investigation remains active.
Crime scene investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death, the department said. Police asked the public to avoid the area to give emergency personnel room to work.
