Investigator Jimmy Rogers named Rankin County 2026 TOP Cop

Investigator Jimmy Rogers was named Rankin County Sheriff’s Department 2026 TOP Cop, the department announced. Rogers is assigned as a juvenile investigator within the Criminal Investigations Division and was honored for his work over the past year.

According to the department, Rogers conducted numerous investigations that resulted in the conviction and incarceration of individuals who sought to abuse and harm children. Sheriff Bryan Bailey said, “Jimmy is great asset to the sheriff’s office as we continue to keep Rankin County safe for families and children.”

The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Rankin County, Mississippi, responsible for patrol, criminal investigations and jail operations. Awards such as TOP Cop aim to recognize officers and investigators whose work yields successful prosecutions and enhances public safety, particularly in cases involving juveniles.
