Homeowners associations host luncheon for Jackson first responders
Mayfair, Eltonwood and Lakeshore Homeowners Associations hosted a luncheon yesterday for the men and women of Precinct 1 and members of the Jackson Fire Department, the Jackson Police Department said in a Facebook post.
The department said it was grateful for the associations’ generosity, thoughtfulness and continued support of first responders. It said acts like the luncheon remind officers and firefighters that their dedication, sacrifice and service to the community are appreciated and valued.
Neighborhood homeowner associations frequently organize events to thank police and fire personnel and to strengthen ties between residents and public safety agencies. Precinct 1 refers to a local police division; firefighters and police provide emergency and public-safety services in their communities.
The department said the support reflects a strong partnership between the community and those who serve and protect it each day. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
