Hinds County deputy places third at MLEOA conference

Hinds County Sheriff’s Office Motor Deputy Stanley Price placed third in the Fairing Novice division during the MLEOA 2026 Summer Conference and Training this week on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for Hinds County, Mississippi, which includes the state capital, Jackson. Motor deputies typically represent specialized units that focus on traffic enforcement, public safety on roadways and community policing initiatives.

The MLEOA conference and training event brings together law enforcement personnel for instruction, skills competitions and professional development. Events such as riding competitions and novice divisions give deputies opportunities to sharpen tactical skills, demonstrate proficiency and gain recognition among peers.

The sheriff’s office posted congratulations to Deputy Price on its social media account. The result highlights local officers’ participation in regional training and the value agencies place on continual training and preparedness. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
