Hattiesburg police and fire departments are responding to a rollover accident on Interstate 59 northbound near mile marker 68, the departments said in a social media post. At this time, northbound lanes are shut down and traffic is backed up for several miles.
Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area if possible, use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Motorists were urged to slow down, stay alert and give first responders room to work. Additional updates will be shared if necessary, the post said.
