Harrison County seeks suspect after Gulfport Waffle House shooting
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday asked the public to help locate a fugitive after a pre-dawn shooting at a Gulfport restaurant.
Investigators said 27-year-old Jeremiah Octavius Lee Nance is wanted on charges of three counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The charges stem from a shooting at the Waffle House on Canal Road in Gulfport around 3:00 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities asked anyone with information about Nance’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling TIPS. The sheriff’s office said that, to qualify for a reward, information must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the sheriff’s office said. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
