Communications Center honors lead dispatcher Tessa Salter

This week the Communications Center honored Tessa Salter, recognizing her work as the lead TAC dispatcher and her contributions to the department and community, the center said in a Facebook post.

Chief Jeff McCutchen wrote in the post, “Tessa is one of the most enjoyable people you can work with. Her smile is contagious, and her upbeat spirit brings a lot of joy to our Communications Center. As our lead TAC dispatcher, her professionalism, calmness, and dedication to her craft are second to none. Our community is in good hands when Tessa is on the radio.”

Dispatchers serve as the first point of contact in many emergency calls, coordinating responses and relaying critical information to field units. The post thanked Salter for her professionalism, positivity and care, noting those qualities play a role in public safety and community trust.

The department encouraged residents to recognize staff contributions and thanked Salter for her service. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
