Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office invites public to 42nd National Night Out
Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office is inviting residents and agencies to join its observance of the 42nd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Sept. 1, the office said.
The sheriff’s office said the event aims to promote involvement in crime-prevention activities, strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and neighborhoods, and build camaraderie among community members. The announcement emphasized that National Night Out sends a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and prepared to fight crime.
Agencies or groups interested in participating and setting up information tables were asked to complete a registration form attached to the office’s social media post. The office also asked residents to share the announcement with community leaders and friends and thanked the public for ongoing support.
National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign intended to enhance police-community partnerships and neighborhood safety. Details about times, locations and participating agencies were not included in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
