Chief Kern attends NMLETC Class B-82 graduation in Tupelo

Chief Kern and members of his command staff attended the NMLETC Class B-82 graduation in Tupelo to support newly certified officer Sheniah Poole, who completed an intense 12-week training program and finished as Squad 4 leader.

The NMLETC is a law enforcement training center that conducts basic certification academies for new officers. Such academies typically combine classroom instruction, physical training and scenario-based exercises to prepare recruits for sworn duties.

Completion of a basic academy is a key step for recruits, making them eligible for full duties within their agencies. Finishing as a squad leader is a recognition of leadership and performance among classmates during the course of training.

Chief Kern’s attendance underscores departmental support for newly certified personnel and highlights the importance of academy training in maintaining public safety. Congratulations to Officer Sheniah Poole on her accomplishment. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
