Chief Landon Tucker attended a D.A.R.E. graduation hosted by the Corinth School District, the Corinth Police Department said in a Facebook post. The department said Tucker was there to celebrate students who completed the program and to recognize their accomplishments.
The department said the D.A.R.E. program teaches students about making safe choices, building confidence and showing respect for others and the community. The post expressed pride in each student for completing the program.
The Facebook post also thanked the Corinth School District, teachers, parents and D.A.R.E. officers for investing in youth and helping make a positive difference, according to the department. The post congratulated all of the graduates.
D.A.R.E. is a school-based prevention program used in communities to educate young people about resisting drugs and making safe choices. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
