Reeves thanks Trump administration for storm assistance

GOV. TATE REEVES said he is grateful to President Donald Trump and his administration for assisting Mississippi as the state recovers from a recent storm, according to a post on his Facebook page.

“I’m grateful to President Trump and his administration for assisting Mississippi as we recover from the storm,” Reeves said. “This declaration will further strengthen our recovery efforts and deliver additional support to Mississippians. We continue praying for every community impacted. The state of Mississippi will continue to assist for as long as it takes.”

Reeves, who leads Mississippi’s executive branch, posted the comments on his official Facebook account, a common channel for governors to communicate with residents. Presidential disaster declarations typically unlock federal resources and coordination to support state and local recovery, including grants, technical assistance and other aid that officials say can speed rebuilding and relief.
