UMMC telehealth program awarded $4.25 million for five-year redesignation

The University of Mississippi Medical Center’s telehealth program has been awarded $4.25 million for a five-year redesignation as a Center of Excellence in Telehealth, with the support and new technology intended to expand access to care across Mississippi.

The program will focus on chronic disease, heart failure, cancer care and pediatric diabetes. It also will continue bringing health care to rural and medically underserved communities.
