Greenville holds second annual Suicide Awareness Walk for Hope
Greenville held its second annual Suicide Awareness Walk for Hope, with Mayor Errick D. Simmons thanking the Pablo Foundation and the Mayor’s Health Council for bringing the community together.
Simmons said the event focused on hope, healing, compassion and connecting people with help. He said the walk honored people who have died, those struggling, families and the importance of hope.
The mayor also thanked Ms. Remelda Lewis, the Mayor’s Health Council coordinator, along with participating vendors and community partners WellCare, Mississippi Family Residency Clinic, Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services, Rainbow Lady and the Greenville Fire Department. The partners provided resources, information and support to residents.
