The Power of Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon & Fashion Show was held at the Oxford Conference Center, with proceeds benefiting Baptist Cancer Center-Oxford’s Breast Health Fund.
Guest speaker Meghan Lynn addressed the community, bringing humor, storytelling and what organizers described as Southern charm to the event. The program also included the Survivor’s Runway, which featured breast cancer survivors.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
