Oxford School District urges caution as traffic increases near school zones

The Oxford School District is urging drivers to remain alert in school zones as traffic increases over the next few days.

The district asked motorists to watch their speed, put down their phones and look for students walking during dismissal. It said a few extra seconds of attention can help keep students, school resource officers and staff safe.

The district also encouraged residents to share the safety message with neighbors and friends.
