Old Capitol Museum offers free Colonial Mississippi field trips

The Old Capitol Museum is offering teachers and educators a free field trip opportunity focused on Colonial Mississippi as part of the America250 celebration.

Students can learn through demonstrations, presentations and hands-on activities, including historic dance lessons, tribal stickball demonstrations, fencing demonstrations, quilting and traditional crafts.

Spots are limited. Educators seeking more information or wanting to reserve a place can contact Kari Baker at kbaker@mdah.ms.gov.
